Keeping everyone safe this Christmas
- Santamagic is approved by the NZ MOH to be able to operate as a regulated close contact business
- Our health Elf division has worked together with our Govt to bring Christmas safely to NZ this year
- You have the assurance your bubble's Santa experience will be fun & safe under our approved operational guidelines
- Being one of the oldest special guys around, Santa needs to be kept extra safe too
- All our Elves & Santa are fully vaccinated & will be wearing masks & gloves at all times
- QR code scanning is mandatory (if you do not have an app, we will have a paper based record keeping option)
- There's social distancing requirements outside of Santa's grotto at all times
- Please see our tailored Santa visitation processes for each vaccination status, we are approved to welcome everyone on our site!
- Remember Santamagic are dedicated to bringing Christmas joy to your regions while keeping everyone SAFE
- So please ensure you follow the instructions given by our friendly Elves when visiting Santa

All Traffic Light Covid-19 Protection Framework: Visiting Santa
Before you visit Santa
- Ensure you & your bubble are all feeling well
- Face coverings are compulsory for those aged 12 years & over
- Make sure you have your masks with you before entering the mall
- Why not Christmas bling up your mask for a bit of fun!
- Fun festive masks are available for kids & adults purchase in store
- Either just turn up during Santamagic opening hours
- Or use our online booking system to select a time for your session for those centres that have a pre-booking option.
When you arrive
- Please make sure those in your bubble aged 12 years & over are wearing a mask
- Our friendly Elf will welcome & guide you through your visit & ensure
- You scan our QR code using the NZ Covid-19 tracer app
- Please have your My Vaccine Passport ready if you are fully Vaccinated.
- You hand sanitise at the sanitising station provided
- Only 1 bubble is let onto on the Santa set at any one time
While you see Santa,
with My Vaccination Pass
- No-one may touch Santa at anytime
- No social distancing requirements while you are in the set, but it is optional
- You & your bubble can choose to:
- Children may sit next to Santa
- Sit on the stools/ottomans facing the camera (wiped & disinfected between each bubble)
- Stand near Santa
- When ready & facing the camera, our Elf will take your photos
- Masks may be removed while your photos are being taken and put back on while talking with Santa
- Our Elf will then guide you to the exit of the set and towards our counter so you can view your photos
- Ottomans/stools will be wiped & disinfected between each group visiting
- Santa is allowed to hold infants for your photographs
While you see Santa,
without My Vaccine Pass
- No-one may touch Santa at anytime
- Mast not be removed while talking to Santa or our elves if you are unvaccinated
- You & your bubble must:
- Social distance from our Santa and elves, minimum 1 meter
- Sit on the stools/ottomans 1 meter away from Santa facing the camera (wiped & disinfected between each bubble)
- Stand near Santa, minimum 1 meter social distanced
- Masks can be removed briefly for the photograph. Masks must be put back on after photo has been taken
- Turn around while seated and have fun talking with Santa with your masks on
- Our Elf will then guide you to the exit of the set and towards our counter so you can view your photos
- Ottomans/stools will be wiped & disinfected between each group visiting
- Santa is allowed to hold infants for your photographs
- These restrictions do not apply to Children under 12 years old
At our retail counter
- Our Elves will guide you to view & select your displayed photos within a socially distanced space
- Our displayed sample products cannot be touched by anyone except our gloved Elves
- Contactless payment is much preferred
- Our Elves will print your photos & pop your purchased bag of photo goodies on the retail counter for you to pick up
